If you're new to Slayer, I recommend Hell Awaits and/or even their follow-up album Reign in Blood as those two albums are very fast and thrashy (I originally bought Reign in Blood back in but I couldn't get into it at the time, but I listened to it again on a copied CD of the album recently - I decided to re-buy the album since)/5(51).

I define this album as the most punk-ish album ever released by Slayer, "Kill Again" is a perfect example, all instruments are present in the mix (raw and primitive - remember it was released in ), particularly the bass, here it is preponderant and it shines in songs like At Dawn They Sleep - have to mention Dave Lombardo bashes his drumset in that memorable roll towards the end of it /5().
